School Grants for Women Back to School
Various School Grants are available to Women, who have to discontinue their education and again want to complete education after lapse of few years. There are increased numbers of women, who get married before they are in a position to complete their School or Degree.
By getting busy in domestic work, they for some time forget to complete their education because of their higher involvement in the family and have responsibility of raising their kids. At a time, when their kids start going to the school, there is need of a pursuing a career for additional income to supplement their family’s increased financial needs. The situation calls for going back to school or college to complete the unfinished studies.
School Grant & other Funds:
Because of their already burdened financial conditions, these women feel it is impossible to squeeze money to pursue their further education, being unaware the school grants they can avail of, for completing their education left unfinished. Thus after completion of the unfinished education now they can satisfy their desire for making career.
It is worth considering, that besides the school grant, there are many other grants and funds focused on helping such women, who had to leave their education after their marriage and now are willing to complete the education required to build their career for earning extra money from the opted career to supplement their family income needs.
One such fund is from the Jeanette Rankin Foundation offering financial help to woman candidate belonging to low income families within the age group of 35 years and above and is prepared to complete education. The school grant offered is $2000. The woman is required to justify how by gaining the college degree there shall be improvement in her life.
The second fund is from Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting and is offering financial aid to women who are desirous of attaining a post graduate degree in the field of accounts. The monetary award has a range of from $1,000 to $5,000.
There are circumstances under which the woman is desirous of returning to work after leaving to have a baby or circumstances compelled her to work from home. After a gap of few years they are required to learn new skills which are in practice now in place of the old skills, which have become outdated with the passage of time.
There is Woman Foundation International offering $2,000 to $4,000 worth value of scholarships for women entrapped in such a situation. The fund is specifically suitable for such women enabling them to make their entry in the skilled workforce coping with the required new skills acquired to be successful at the work place.
